King Olf and Queen Andros talk about the Realm, Sept. 2017

The Realm of Chivalry is a non-profit social organization with a theme of the Dark and Middle Ages. The Realm of Chivalry is administered by a Board of Directors voted on by the members of the Realm on a yearly basis (1/2 of the membership of the board is re-elected each year). The board functions as the liaison between the "mundane" world of Infernal Revenue Service, legalities, and financial institutions. The Realm currently consists of one Kingdom, Treloria (derived from the Latin vulgar for "Third Wisdom"). A Kingdom is made up of 250 members of The Realm of Chivalry, or chartered with approval of the Board of Directors (as was the case with the first Kingdom). The official subordinate branches are Keeps , with 10 or more members of the Realm; Baronies, which are promoted from Keeps that have 30 or more members and have met the established criteria for promotion. Duchies are 90 or more members and must have been a successful Barony for a period of one year prior to application. A member of The Realm is never automatically assigned to a branch. We felt that it is important that a person play where they are most comfortable. It is not uncommon for a branch to have members spread over several counties, or even states. Another social organization within the Realm is the Order. Orders of Chivalry are created by Knights and Masters as one of the privileges of their rank. In fact, a Knight or Master must declare membership in an Order of Chivalry or found an Order of Chivalry when they are created peers. No other order may in any way indicate that it is an Order of Chivalry save those created as previously mentioned. Another important social group is the Household. Households may be formed by anyone and usually consist of friends that wish to work and play together at events. Whilst a household is not an officially recognized branch, they are a very important framework for the members of The Realm.
